Gary Sweeney is a Performance Nutritionist at Code Nutrition, an online nutrition consultation company aiming to inform suitable and sustainable eating patterns to promote good health and optimal sports performance, improving your relationship with food to enhance overall health, well-being, athletic performance and appearance.
Gary obtained his graduate diploma (PgDip) in Sports & Exercise Nutrition, following a first class Master’s (MSc) degree in Human Nutrition and a Bachelor (BSc) degree in Biochemistry. He is also a certified body composition analyst with The International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK).
Having a background in GAA representing Galway at underage to senior, Gary followed his passion to expand his knowledge of nutrition, travelling between Ireland, UK and Switzerland, where he worked as a nutritional researcher, educator and consultant in personalised eating patterns for improved health outcomes, weight loss and sports performance, in addition to contributing to research on environmental sustainability and digital nutrition.
Continuing to keep up with scientific advances in the field of nutrition is the core principle in which Gary provides direction to achieving the most robust nutrition plans and protocols for his clients.
Gary’s qualified and scientific approach has seen him work with individual athletes, sports teams, businesses and communities to help educate a sustainable and tailored nutritional lifestyle getting you closer to achieving your goals.
